Nike Hypervenom Phantom
Issue after issue
they fit well out of the box and i love the touch on the ball but they stretched so when i cut laterally they wouldn't support me and i would slip and my foot would roll on the sole plate but now the braking stud in the middle of the left foot fell completely off the shoe. I filed a claim and sent my shoes back. I hope nike will let me replace them with a mercurial(my previous choice for years) or I will be forced to go to a new brand.
I've worn Nike for years and always enjoyed their products and they've always lasted a significant amount of time but after two and a half months these shoes are dead and i'm in shock.
Great product for serious players.
I am a forward on my high school team, and I absolutely LOVE these cleats. I don't know what it is about them, but it's only 2 games into the season, and I've already scored 5 goals. They feel great, and while they don't seem to be the most durable, I'm still very satisfied.
One of the best
The hypervenom phantom is my most favorite cleat I have ever used it is soft right out of the box although it will need a good hour or 2 break in time I personally didn't notice nikeskin "forming to my foot". The are definitely the most comfortable cleats I have worn I did have the phatal for a bit which were most likely my 3rd favorite cleat but in the hypervenom line you just can't go wrong and you will most likely be just as happy as I am with them.
Great Touch and Control
I'm an average skill player, and when my ctr360s where stolen I bought these because of an amazing sale...so glad I did! They fit amazing and are so light I barely notice them on. These boots had zero break in period due to the nike skin. It completely forms to your foot, I wore an 8.5 I'm my CTRs so I purchased the same size in the hypervenom, although they have a little more room in the toe, I don't think I would have been happy in an 8. So pretty true to size, maybe a 1/4 size smaller than the CTRs. I love the lacing, it seems like they almost lock as you are tightening them up. Playing in them is awesome, amazing ball control and touch, especially when striking...it's as close to barefoot as I can imagine. All in all, these boots rock! No doubt I will be a hypervenom user for years to come. Just don't discontinue them real quick Nike, like you did the CTRs.
God Bless NikeSkin
I play mostly as a fullback, and having previously played with multiple models of T90s and CTRs, I can honestly say that these boots are something else. I have very wide feet so they were super tight at first and took a decent amount of time to break in (around 4-5 sessions) but once they did, they were hands down the most comfortable boots I had ever worn. NikeSkin is just about the softest upper on the market so I recommend going half a size down because it stretches a lot.
I never really cared about the whole "speed boot" thing before I bought these but the difference in acceleration and agility is really noticeable. It doesn't matter if you are a defender or a striker; being able to make turns and adjustments that split second faster is going to come in handy, even for defenders.
